Part One: Rappelling

Around 9:00 am your transportation will pick you up from your hotel in La Fortuna or the surrounding area to take you to the private reserve very close to Arenal Volcano where you’ll start your first adventure activity.

Rappelling is more than just descend waterfalls in a dense forest.

It is an incredible adventure that lets you not only descend waterfalls and rock walls, a hanging rope bridge with excellent views of the forest, a zipline cable, and to keep going with the adventure a jump into a swimming hole of crystal clear waters before finishing with a hike through the river.

Part Two: Los Cañones Canopy Tour

To continue on in this day full of adventure, the zipline or canopy tour awaits. This is an adrenaline packed journey through the dense forests of Costa Rica.

Platforms are placed from 20 to 60 meters (65 to 190 ft.) in the air. These are connected by 12 cables that in total are 2.8 km (1.7 miles) in length. The cables are anywhere between 50 and 500 meters (150 to 1500 ft.).

Los Lagos Hot Springs

At the end of your Canopy Tour you can make use of the facilities at Los Lagos Hot Springs; there are five thermal pools, two cold pools, and three toboggan slides of 65, 15, and 10 meters (200, 50, and 30 ft.). Additionally there is a crocodile and caiman pool (not to swim in!), a butterfly habitat, and an ant farm of leaf-cutter ants.
